Opportunities

There are many career opportunities within the food and beverage industry ranging from jobs that require minimal academic ability and literacy to those that require University qualifications.

Food and beverage processing is an export growth industry that provides opportunities to work both within and across various industry sectors and supply chains.

Food processing traineeships are available in a wide variety of areas such as wine making, dairy processing, smallgoods manufacturing, flour milling and stockfeed milling, fruit and vegetable processing, abattoirs, boning and slaughtering.

Training in the food and beverage industry includes on-the-job training, specialist courses, accredited training (TAFE, etc.), degree level training and post graduate training.

Please refer to the following link for more information about traineeships and apprenticeships in food and beverage in Western Australia:

Career Paths

The food and beverage industry is made up of some 24 sectors. .
